Legion hold is quite a well known farming spot, often there are a few Alliance and a few Horde there because of the good loot and the quick easy-kill spawns.
Tonight I thought I would have a quick go there, recording everything I made and how long it took me. I’m planning on doing the same for other popular farming spots.
Start at 20:36, Finsih at 21:52. Total time spent here 1hr 16 mins
The mobs I killed here are:
Wrathwalker (67-68)
Terrormaster (68)
Mo’arg Weaponsmith (66)
Shadow Council Warlock (67-68)
Overseer Ripsaw (69)
And the mobs I had to avoid were:
Makazradon (68 elite)
Morgroron (68-69 elie)
Wrathstalker (68 elite)
At the end of the run I had the following items looted:
Greys:
Corroded Mail Belt
Deteriorating Blade
Tarnished Claymore x 2
The Stoppable Force
Sell all to vendor = 9g 43s 67c
Greens:
Lazuli Ring of the Invoker
Clefthoof Shoulderguards of the Bandit
Daggerfen Boots of the Tiger
I decided to disenchant the above greens so I could get a pretty quick idea of what ‘could’ be made. They disenchanted to:
Arcane Dust x 12
This goes for approx 2g each on the Auction House
Potions/Scrolls:
Super Healing Potion x 4
Scroll of Agility V
Scroll of Protection V
Sell on AH total = 15g
Cloth:
I sent the cloth to my Mage who is a Tailor and got him to make:
And finally the rep items that we came here for (to sell):
Fel armament x2 = 30g
Mark of Sargeras x 33 = 28g
Looted gold - repair cost = 12g
Summary:
1hr 16 mins spent killing and looting, no deaths. Vendor the greys, disenchant the greens and sell the arcane dust produced, turn the netherweave into bags, sell potions and scrolls on the AH along with the bags, the Fel Armaments and the Marks Of Sargeras.
Total gold made:
Greys = 9g 43s 67c
Greens = 24g
Potions/Scrolls = 15g
Netherweave (bags) = 18g
Fel Armaments = 30g
Marks of Sargeras = 28g
TOTAL = 124g 43s 67c
Not bad at all for a little over an hour? Have a go and let me know how you do! Repeat once a night for a week and you have approx 870g!

I have been farming legion hold since about a two weeks after TBC came out, in that time i’ve had 1 Epic staff drop which I sold for 2000g. And God knows how many blues/greens. In my honest opinion, i’d say this is the best spot to grind. Very little people, mobs are extremely easy to kill.
