I wanted an easy hour tonight so that I could start watching a TV show recommended to me by a friend (the TV show is Psych if you were wondering, probably not!).
I decided to take my Horde hunter (level 67 called ‘Unter‘) to Nagrand and do some wildlife shooting/skinning.
I didn’t expect to make much but I also have a level 63 pet that needs levelling up so kind of killing a few birds with one stone. To my surprise this turned out to be the best one hour farm so far and could have been better if I had done a little research first. Continue reading »
Being a casual World of Warcraft gamer, I hadn’t heard of Twilight Ridge until now but I got tipped off that there was a lot of gold to be made here if you can get enough Cobra Scales drops from the serpents.
This will make 1 good hour and 1 not so good hour today.
It happens to be the first time I’ve been to Twilight Ridge and doubt I will be spending much time there. At this location there are the following monsters:
Deathshadow Spellbinder (70-71)
Deathshadow Archon (70-71)
Deathshadow Warlock (70-71)
Deathshadow Overlord (Elite 70-71) - avoid like the plague, they don’t go down easily!
Reth’Hedron The Subduer - I stayed away from this guy too, he is HUGE!
Twilight Serpent - It was because of these that I came, the drop cobra scales that fetch 30g each, unfortunately the drops were not plentiful on this occasion
OK so I’ve made a few posts and want to get some traffic.
I managed to get my domain to Google Pagerank 3 with just 4 posts last time, this time I plan to keep up the posting. Looks like my rank dropped to Pagerank 2 recently, soon have it back up to 3!
One easy way to increase traffic (assuming my posts are any good!) is by getting “Dugg”.
A quick search for “Digg This Wordpress Button” came up with a plugin that was extremely easy to install.
This is my first “One hours farming” post to show anyone who cares how much Gold can be made in 1 hour at different spots in World of Warcraft.
I used my level 70 Hunter for this who can be viewed at the World of Warcraft Armoury.
The realm is “Outland (Aliiance)”
This was a quite an easy hour, 2 other alliance toons there for the whole hour and a couple of non-hostile horde came and went without bothering me. The location is around the 3 towers that are surrounded by Shadow Council Warlocks and the respawn rates for these are very fast.
Being casters, taking them down with a hunter uses little mana and I had “Aspect of the Viper” on throughout to reduce rest time.
I’m about to start posting the results of my 1 hour farming tests here on my blog.
Something I found useful on my previous blog was the ability to link items directly from my site and the best service I have found that offers this is without doubt Wowhead
What’s more, all you have to do is embed their javascript anywhere in your webpage and you are immediately good to go. Any link to a Wowhead item will have a tooltip and also link directly to the item in their database!
Here is an example of an axe that just dropped for me during my first 1 hour test at Legion hold in Shadowmoon Valley.
Hover over the icon to see the tooltip and click on the icon for a direct link to the item in the Wowhead database. On their database page for the item, you also get to see its 3D model, very cool!
